Seperti yang dilakukan Senin (7/9/2020), jenitri seberat 235 kilogram tujuan Jakarta tak lepas dari pengawasan Pejabat Karantina Pertanian Timika.
Berdasarkan data IQfast, hingga Agustus 2020, frekuensi pengiriman jenitri dari Kabupaten Mimika mencapai 19 kali pengiriman dengan tujuan Jakarta, Yogyakarta, dan Surabaya. “Jika ditotal mencapai 4,5 ton,” kata Agustiana, pejabat Karantina Wilayah Kerja Bandara Mozes Kilangin.
“Berdasarkan informasi dari pemilik jenitri, dalam setahun pohon jenitri bisa dua kali musim berbuah. Ciri khas jenitri asal Papua ini memiliki buah yang lebih besar dibandingkan dari daerah lain, sehingga permintaan pembeli dari luar pulau tidak pernah surut sepanjang tahun,” tutur Agustiana. (Rls)
