Denpasar, suarabali.com – Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Disperindag) Provinsi Bali kembali berhasil mengekspor produk holtikultura berupa 12 ton bawang merah ke Singapura dengan nilai 18.000 dolar AS.
Prosesi pelepasan ekspor komoditas asli Pulau Dewata ini ditandai dengan penyegelan kontainer dan penekanan sirine oleh jajaran Kementerian Perdagangan dan Disperindag Provinsi Bali.
“Kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian dari pelepasan ekspor produk Indonesia yang bernilai tambah dan sustainable ke pasar global secara serentak, dipimpin oleh Bapak Presiden secara virtual dari Istana Negara serta Kementerian Perdagangan RI dari Lamongan, Jawa Timur,” kata Prof. Sidharta Utama, kepala Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (Bappebti) Kementerian Perdagangan RI di Pedungan, Denpasar, Jumat (4/12/2020).
Sidharta mengatakan pada saat bersamaan diadakan pelepasan produk ekspor di 16 provinsi se-Indonesia.
“Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan 132 perusahaan meliputi perusahaan non UMKM dan UMKM dengan total nilai ekspor 1,12 miliar dolar AS yang kemungkinan masih terus akan bertambah,” tutur akademisi Universitas Indonesia (UI) ini.
Khusus Provinsi Bali, Sidharta menjelaskan, ada satu perusahaan, yakni PT Rimbun Alam Dewata, yang memberangkatkan produk lokal Bali. Kedepannya, diharapkan makin banyak produk yang bisa diekspor serta melibatkan lebih banyak pihak swasta yang bisa berkontribusi menyalurkan produk lokal Bali.
“Mudah-mudahan (ekspor) ini dapat membantu perekonomian Provinsi Bali dengan peningkatan kegiatan ekspor. Apalagi adanya pandemi Covid-19, tentunya industri pariwisata Bali sangat terpukul dan ada aktivitas lain yang bisa menutupi berkurangnya aktivitas pariwisata. Disinilah peran ekspor tersebut jadi sangat penting,” harapnya.
Sidharta juga berharap kedepannya ekspor barang produksi lokal Bali akan terus meningkat. Pemerintah, kata dia, akan terus mendorong UMKM di Bali agar mampu menembus pasar ekspor.
“Tentunya disini Kementerian Perdagangan akan terus mendukung dan memfasilitasi pemerintah daerah,” tutur Sidharta.
Sementara Kadisperindag Provinsi Bali I Wayan Jarta mengatakan, sebenarnya potensi produk holtikultura seperti bawang merah di Bali cukup besar dan potensial ditingkatkan lagi kedepannya.
“Menurut data tahun 2019, produksi bawang merah kita ada di angka 19.800 ton dan angkanya terus meningkat di 2020. Harapan kami, tentu dengan adanya ekspor ini akan menggairahkan lagi masyarakat, khususnya petani untuk membudidayakan bawang merah dengan tujuan pasar ekspor,” jelas Jarta.
Selain bawang merah, kata Jarta, Bali juga punya banyak produk lokal yang sudah masuk ke pasar global pada periode yang berdekatan, yakni cengkeh sebanyak 14 ton ke Amsterdam (Belanda), manggis sebanyak 5 ton ke China, kopi 500 kilogram ke Dubai (UEA), arak Bali sebanyak 5 boks ke California (USA).
“Di samping itu, saya kira masih banyak potensi lokal kita, baik pertanian, kerajinan hingga perikanan yang juga bisa diupayakan untuk meningkatkan ekspor kita sesuai dengan amanah Bapak Presiden. Kami tentu sangat bangga dan senang, karena di tengah masa pandemi ini, masih ada peluang menggairahkan perekonomian melalui ekspor-ekspor yang kita laksanakan,” ujar Jarta.
Di lain pihak, pimpinan PT Rimbun Alam Dewata, Karel Ruing, mengatakan ekspor komoditas pertanian seperti ini merupakan kesempatan untuk menunjukkan bahwa Bali juga punya sisi lain selain pariwisata.
“Sebenarnya ini momen yang baik untuk Bali bahwa ada bidang-bidang lain yang bisa dikedepankan selain pariwisata. Kami merasa bersyukur bisa ambil bagian dalam kegiatan ini. Terima kasih kepada pemerintah pusat dan daerah yang memfasilitasi,” katanya. (Sir)
