Under Bali Everything
Udayana University is the oldest university in Bali. UNUD built at Uugust 17th, 1962. But before the that time, since September 29th, 1958 already has a university in Bali which is Fakultas Sastra Udayana, but at that time this Faculty is only a part from Airlangga University in Surabaya. This Faculty then growth into Udayana University and still exist until now. This University is the best faculty in Bali after all.
At this time Udayana University already have ten faculty, two program study, and one other program which are :
1. Fakultas Sastra (Language)
2. Fakultas Kedokteran (Doctor)
3. Fakultas Hukum (Law)
4. Fakultas Ekonomi (Economy)
5. Fakultas Teknik (Technique)
6. Fakultas Pertanian
7. Fakultas Peternakan
8. Fakultas MIPA
9. Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan
10. Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian
11. Program study Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (IKM)
12. PS Pariwisata.

As you know that Nyepi on this year was already celebrate at March 7th, 2008. There’s nothing special at the celebration at this year, just the same like last year. But one day before
Nyepi, I was spend my time in Pakel, Desa gegelang, which is a small village in Karangasem. In this village the people celebrate
Ngerupuk by held an Ogoh-Ogoh parade that start at 6.00 pm until 10.00 pm. Well although not as good as Ogoh-ogoh in Denpasar or Gianyar of course but The spirit of the villager wasn’t lose from them.
On Nyepi lot’s of villager still follow the rule and didn’t come out from the house, if they didn’t have urgent thing that should do. From my experience the people on the village was better that in Denpasar city when they celebrate Nyepi. On Denpasar I usually seen lots of people come out from their house and having some fun during Nyepi. Well that’s a little report on this Nyepi. For you who miss this celebration try come next year at March 26th, 2009.
