Kapolda Jatim Irjen Pol. Nico Afinta Karo-Karo mengatakan ada 19 kabupaten/kota di Jawa Timur yang akan menggelar Pilkada pada 9 Desember 2020. Jumlahh Tempat Pemungutan Suara (TPS) mencapai 48.607 TPS.
Untuk itu, kata Kapolda, pengamanan yang diturunkan mencapai 120 ribu personel, yang terdiri dari 15.539 personel polisi, 5.681 personel TNI, dan 99.351 personel Linmas. Jumlah itu nantinya akan disebar ke seluruh daerah yang terdapat TPS saat pencoblosan pada 9 Desember 2020.
“Selain itu, dalam rangka mengantisipasi kontigensi, Polda Jatim juga mempersiapkan 3 SSK Disamapta dan 12 SSK Disamapta Satbrimob Polda Jatim yang nantinya akan ditempatkan sesuai dengan rayonisasi. Saya sangat mengapresiasi semua personel Polda Jatim atas semangat, loyalitas, kinerja, dan pengabdiannya dalam melakukan pengamanan PIlkada serentak tahun 2020,” katanya.
Dia mengatakan Pilkada serentak tahun ini berbeda dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Sebab, Pilkada tahun ini bersamaan dengan pandemi Covid-19.
“Untuk itu, saya mengimbau kepada semua anggota tetap harus memperhatikan kondisi tubuh, menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Jangan ragu memperingatkan masyarakat agar tetap mematuhi Prokes seperti memakai masker, mencuci tangan, dan menjaga jarak,” tuturnya. (Tjg)
